Aaron Holt – Glen Templeton
Aaron Holt is a West Virginia native that was thrust into music at a very early age. Growing up he spent a lot of time listening to his Mother’s rock band. When he was 8 years old His mom and Dad bought him a muppets drumset and placed it just outside mom’s rehersal room. It was there he would play along and learn the basics and annoy the whole band. By the time he was in middle school he was hitch hiking to the local fire department for the Friday night country jamboree. He joined a guitar class in ninth grade determined to find players to start his own band. After a few local bands as a drummer and singer he moved to Nashville, TN. Billy Troy, son of late blugrass legend Josh Graves, was the first to hire Holt. Aaron played with billy for several years during which time he was able to work with Johnny Russell, Porter Wagonner, Marty Stewart, Jerry Douglas, Delbert McClinton and many others on the Josh Graves Sultan of Slide Record. Aaron went on to tour with Atlantic recording artist Mila Mason, including a Japanese tour. Soon after that, Aaron moved to Texas and recorded his first solo record titled “jurisdiction”. He also produced and played on Mike Ethan Messick’s debut CD “bootleggers turn”. 4 years and 3 radio singles he made his way back to Nashville and continues to travel, write, and play full time. Aaron currently plays for Black River recording artist Glen Templeton.
